Job Description

Key Responsibilities:-

  1. Financial Record Management:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the site.
    • Ensure all transactions are recorded in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
    • Monitor and reconcile site-specific accounts, including petty cash, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Assist in the preparation of the site’s budget and financial forecasts.
    • Monitor actual expenditure against the budget and report variances.
    • Provide financial analysis to support site management in decision-making.
  3. Reporting:
    • Prepare and submit regular financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Provide detailed reports on project costs and financial status as required.
    • Collaborate with the central finance team to ensure consolidated financial reporting.
  4. Compliance and Audit:
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies.
    • Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
    • Implement audit recommendations and ensure ongoing compliance.
  5. Cost Control:
    • Monitor site expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
    • Implement cost control measures and track their effectiveness.
  6. Vendor and Supplier Management:
    • Manage relationships with site vendors and suppliers.
    • Ensure timely payment of invoices and resolve any payment issues.
  7. Inventory Management:
    • Oversee the financial aspects of site inventory management.
    • Ensure accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock audits.
  8. Coordination and Communication:
    • Act as a liaison between the site and the central finance department.
    • Communicate financial policies and procedures to site staff.
    • Provide training and support to site personnel on financial matters.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proven experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in a site-based or construction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education + Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
