Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Government Liaison:
    • Establish and maintain relationships with local, state, and central government officials and agencies, specifically at GPCB (Gandhinagar and local sites), Factory inspector, PESO, Prohibition, etc. including securing permissions such as environment clearance (Gandhinagar level)
    • Represent the company in meetings with government bodies to advocate for the company's interests and ensure favourable outcomes. 
    • Monitor and manage regulatory developments that may impact the company's operations.
  1. Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and central government regulations applicable to the manufacturing sector.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the company meets all regulatory requirements.
    • Coordinate with internal departments to gather and submit necessary documentation for regulatory approvals and renewals.
  1. Corporate Communications:
    • Develop and execute corporate communication strategies to enhance the company's reputation and stakeholder engagement.
    • Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and communication materials for internal and external stakeholders.
  1. Strategic Planning:
    • Provide strategic guidance on corporate affairs to senior management and contribute to the overall business strategy.
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to government relations and regulatory compliance.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in corporate affairs management.
  1. Stakeholder Management: 
    • Village level coordination, Industrial relations, Panchayats and other Local stakeholders for smooth functioning of operations

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and government processes in India.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing government relations and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities and experience in managing teams.
  • Ability to think strategically and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Gujarati, Hindi and English languages is preferred.

Education + Experience

    QUALIFICATION:

    • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related field. 
    • Minimum of 15 years of experience in corporate affairs, government liaison, or regulatory compliance, 5 years of which must be in Chemical industry.
