The main purpose of the role for Head - Accounts and Finance is:

• Develop and implement financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Analyze financial data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
• Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements in financial reporting.
• Communicate financial results and analysis to senior management and other stakeholders.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions and records.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Oversee tax planning and compliance activities, including preparation and filing of tax returns.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure compliance with tax requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for audits and tax matters.
• Manage cash flow and liquidity to meet operational needs and financial obligations.
• Monitor banking relationships and optimize cash management processes.
• Develop and implement strategies to maximize returns on cash and short-term investments.
• Evaluate and implement financial systems and technology solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes.
• Ensure integration and interoperability of financial systems with other business systems.
• Provide training and support to finance staff on financial systems and tools.
• Lead and motivate the finance team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
• Provide coaching and development opportunities to finance staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
