POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Development Manager specializing in Performance Polymers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading customer collaboration efforts and driving business development initiatives within the performance and specialty polymer segment. This role requires a deep understanding of the techno-commercial landscape of specialty polymers, including expertise in synthesis routes and technologies related to performance polymers. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing projects from scoping to commercial development in the specialty polymer domain.

JOB ROLE

1. Lead customer collaboration efforts and drive business development initiatives in the performance and specialty polymer segment.

2. Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the techno-commercial landscape of specialty polymers, including knowledge of synthesis routes and various polymer synthesis technologies.

3. Utilize technical expertise to guide and support the development of performance polymer molecules, from scoping to commercialization. 4. Collaborate closely with internal teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and sales, to ensure seamless execution of business development strategies.

5. Identify market trends, opportunities, and potential partnerships within the performance polymer industry.

6. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and industry associations.

7. Stay updated on industry developments, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape in the performance polymer sector.

CANDIDATE PROFILE 1. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field. PhD or Master's degree in Polymer Synthesis is preferred.

2. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience working with performance polymer companies in technical, techno-commercial, or business development roles.

3. Proven expertise in leading customer collaboration efforts and driving business development initiatives within the performance polymer segment.

4. Strong technical understanding of synthesis routes and technologies related to specialty polymers.

5. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

6. Dynamic and entrepreneurial mindset with a strong obsession for developing new business opportunities.

7. Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment
